    I was lucky enough a while back to catch this Bittern out in the open, head turn decent, nice eye contact as well. I had a chance to shoot two images, then he hightailed it into the woods.

    The setting might be busy but it is great that the bird is unobstructed, pose and eye contact look good, too. I might put the bird a bit further to the left in the frame.

    I'll ditto Axel, crop a little on the left, good eye contact and pose. A bird in it's habitat.

    Good sighting Paul! I agree with a bit more of a crop at left, but I really like this habitat image. We usually see these in a marshy/reedy setting, so it is nice to see something different.
