Hi JB I'm fine with the eye contact, the bird is paying attention to the task at hand .. and might even be the toenails :)

Arash has a point on the focus, I think it grabbed the wings and the head is not really sharp !! For flight I usually use the center point only and actually try aiming for the head/neck area !! I like how you got the shutter speed up ! I like at least 1/2500 if possible, at least this year have been making an effort to have that much ... not always possible !!

Love the action in the shot. For me it looks like the head is blown out a bit. This may be an artifact of the focusing perhaps. Nice work though.

Hi - ha does not bother me at all - bird is eating his catch. Like the pose but do agree on the focus point - does seem to be on the wing.
    Hot pixels on the head?
    Techs look good!!

    Keep em coming ;)

Hi Rene, Agree with the focus point and in this case not bothered by the HA since it's a form of behavior. The wings appear sharp and nicely lit...

Rene, a really nice catch here!
Excellent shutter speed to catch the action, and fine detail.
Agree about missing the head as a focal point, but still a nice image.

    Cheers -

Thanks for all the comments appreciate it.

This image was from a series of 12. This image was number 9. The shots before & after where "pretty" shots, but I chose this one because of the action. I checked the focus point (it was not on the head) .

I shot center with 9 surrounding AIS.
