    Default Tripod Resolution

    Hi All,

    Here is the resolution to my Gitzo tripod repair issue.

    Originally, Gitzo wanted to charge me $600 to replace my totalled 1348. Gary from Hunts and his Gitzo rep sold me a 3541LS tripod for $300 to make the situation right with me. Can't say enough about how hard they worked to make this happen....as always when dealing with Hunts....great customer service!

    I did agonize over this decision for a while as many of you have had the same/similar issues but I figured I would pay that for the repair.....so it was worth it. I do think the debate was worth it so that you all could make up your own mind as to wheter it is worth it. Here is my final response;

    Hope it gives you at least a chuckle!

    Bravo, bravo.

    After watching part of the Tony Awards last night, the acting in this little drama was gut wrenching.

    Discussions of version 2 will occur tomorrow. I already have the scenes in my head and the music picked out! Stay tuned!

    Thanks All! Well it seems that a version 2 may be off the ground with a much bigger budget ($100) and a volunteer camera man and possibly even cue cards. Will definitely be a few guest appearances although debating if we keep the "Godzilla" audio track going on this one!

    Years ago I owned a Shitzu. Cute dog, but exasperatingly annoying at times, and it was really high maintenance. :D

    Now you are all getting into the spirit! Hey Danny....that isn't a $hitzo you are carrying over your shoulder?!!!.....I don't see a safety strap!

    Bill....now that's funny! Still working on cue cards for nest time!

    Oh yea, I have a lanyard attached from the tripod leg joint to the hook under the "quick release plate" as I like to call it! That way if the lens goes it won't hit the ground; but it will likely pinch something on my body requiring a trip to the emergency room.
