    Default Dirty Bird....got one?

I have several times this week read: "might clean up that dirty beak/bill....." and it got me
to thinking of this yellow crown night heron I photographed last June. Dirtiest bird I ever did see.
This is cropped real tight to max pano allowed just to show the crusty mud.

Got a "dirty bird" you can share?

there may be an unknown story about all this crusty mud.
This is a YCNH that I saw around one lake road over a month or so, He had a neck injury
and very mangled feathering on his upper body. May have been hit by a car and
laid in some muddy area to recover. Never did fly much to an evening perch like the others.
But by season's end, he was doing much better and got somewhat cleaner
