Don't get much of a chance to photograph birds. This was a big crop.

Think the image looks overworked, did a lot of little tweaks to the BG and tried to lighten the shadow on the tail w/ NIK reflector effects.
    Comments/suggestions Appreciated.

Jackie, I really don't see anything wrong with the BG. You have a good HA and eye contact and the feather detail looks sharp. Looks fine, IMO. Maybe others with more experience will pick out something else.

    Hi Jackie

Did well with the PS work !! About all I can think is having used a 2X for getting closer and flattening the perspective .. bird would look less steep.. and might have cropped a little different. Take some room from the bottom and give more on top to make it a lesser crop, I think it would look good with the bird on the left corner and lots of room up top/some right !!

I like Alfred's cropping suggest for this one.

    Nicely done.

I like the nice pose and sharp details.

I also think a slice off bottom would work all right.

Thought it was a little steep. Interesting crop to have the bird on the left. Thought it should have more room in the direction it is looking. Will try it and compare. Thanks for all of the suggestions.
