    Default Waterfall for Vilma

We went to Fairchild Gardens today with the Miami-Dade macro class, it was brutally hot, and after messing a bit with the lilies and grasshoppers, we took sometime with the waterfalls. I want to dedicate this one to Vilma Rodriguez, whose passion for photography is paying off with great work and who really worked the waterfalls today.
Next time we have to take a tripod to ensure sharpness at the slow shutter speed. I was using a monopod, obviously not enough, but you know what, I'm almost sure when I take the sharp one, I may not like as well as I like this one :)

    Model: Canon EOS 7D
    Lens (mm): 180
    ISO: 100
    Aperture: 16
    Shutter: 1/2
Slight crop for composition and a few small imperfections done with.

Ooooooh, very nice. How did you get the little spiky sharpening effects?

I guess they are water splashes  I had to blur them a bit after the smart sharpen.
    Thanks David :)

Hi Fabs - might glad you didn't have a tripod - this is perfect!! I like the softness/blur really adds to the image - IMHO.
    A wall hanger!

Love it Fabs .... and even more since it was in the shade :)

Lance we are going back with the tripod rather than monopod and were thinking the same thing. Will compare and see what we like best. Lots of compositions in that area, we have three different ones to shoot ... and all in the shade :)

Really a great feel to the photo.

The lighting, bg, flow of the water seem to be so well planned out as a painter might do it.

It came out really nice. Very artistic image with the blur. First I thought you were trying the new CS5 painting options :-). Well done.
