Oh my, what a captured, gorgeous and impressive habitat and interaction. Not crazy about the OOF rock on the left, but it would have compromised your bg to stop anymore. LArge crop to get that much DOF at f3.5?
Hi John, Love the birds in their environment. Beautiful capture, despite the oof rock but not a big deal.
Hi Fabs. Thanks for looking. Not much of a crop at all. Little off the top and bottom. This is the orig RAW converted to JPG.
John, Really nice capture. I like the inclusion of the rocks and the story the image tells. Very nicely done. Your PP work is impressive.:)
Pretty cool angle and captured moment. Sharpness looks good, too. I would only tone down the whites of the puffins.
This is simply awesome image , excellent

Well done - Big congrats - just super.
As mentioned the OOF rock is a pity - but the rest more than makes up for it.
:)
While I like the auklet with it raised wings the blocked view of the puffins in part and the huge o-o-f rock that dominates the image ruin it totally for me :)
I think that most of the folks above are being too kind and not really helping by praising this image.
I do agree on the good processing.

I like the comp John, and good to see the interaction. Something diferent here, and I like it.
Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions! I agree that the OOF rock is a distraction from the interspecies interaction that I so much enjoyed at the time.

Love the angle, subjects and what a great caption for the image! :) I hope you didn't do the Andy Rouse; i.e. hanging on precariously with one hand, photographing with the other.
