Estero Lagoon a few days ago, there wasn't much going on and the light was awful. As i was walking back to my truck, i saw this egret fishing. The tide was going out very fast so i tried to use a slow shutter speed.
You have striking detail in the shot. I love the smoothness you were able to give to the water surrounding it. Excellent minimalist photo. Next time I might frame it differently with more room at the top then the bottom, but that is only a personal taste. Outstanding shot!
Hi Peter and Morkel,
I was there from 5:30 to just after sunset, prior to sunset it was so dark and cloudy that i was shooting with a 3200 Iso. After the sunset is when i got this nice water color for the image:).
Terrific colors and you did great on the whites, and on the timing too, judging by the body language I'd say he getting ready to leave.
Watch the tides if you want to go to Marco next week!
Amazingly sharp at 1/10 sec. and the colors are sweet. I too am surprised that the water did not show more blurring.
