Nice environment shot! The tree in the background directly below the bird is distracting. The background needs more NR. I like the pose and head angle. He's definitely in hunting mode!

I like the angled gliding posture, and we can clearly see with the tilted head that he is hunting for his next meal. The tree below doesnt distract, but I would maybe look at some NR.

Thanks Colin and Stuart for your comments. I've tried to do denoising but find that most of the speckles are rain drops which get diminished by NR. Any way to denoise and yet retain majority of the rain drops?

Interesting, Jay. I hadn't considered what NR would do to the rain drops. I wouldn't think chroma NR would have any effect on the rain drops.

you did great in the conditions! I like the pose, raindrops and muted light...and agree that the tree is a pity :)

I like the oncoming pose, rain and BG. The tree underneath the bird doesn't bother me but it would not be too difficult to remove it if this is something you do. I wouldn't run NR as the rain drops add to the image but I would put the bird a tad higher in the frame.

Love images taken in the rain and this flight pose is great. I agree it is a shame about the tree but still a very striking image. Thanks for sharing and the info on the NR and rain drops. :)
