Actually I think it is the same one that I posted the other day but this one includes its friend. Taken in the Galapagos Islands. I purposely wanted only the front one in focus and wanted the back as sort of a shadow or mirror image effect. I should have gotten lower.

    An interesting looking photo.

I like your comment about getting lower. I also feel like a step to your left, if possible, making the in focus Iguana the largest in the frame would have been nice although light angle was against you.

I might also clean up the bg to make it uniform throughout.

Interesting "lips" they have. It looks like teeth on the outside.

    Rachael,

Good work juxtaposition the two and having the front one in focus. Agree that lower is a good option here. I agree with Dave that the OOF streaks behind the in focus Iguana are distracting. Also going lower might have corrected/changed the BG.

good self critique, rachel. i think lower would have helped the impact of the image. i like that you were trying for the complimentary oof second iguana. nicely thought out!!

Hi Rachel, Agree with Al regarding minimizing the clarity of the rear subject. Right now it's difficult for my eye to concentrate on any one subject. Lower would of been better and I would have eliminated the object in the rear...

Thanks everybody for the comments and agreeing with my self-critique. Btw the "object" in the rear is the tail of one of the iguanas so I probably would not remove it from the photo. Thanks again,

    Rachel

Hi Rachel - agree with the above comments - the removal of things in the bg is one of personal choice.
Agree a lower angle and a move to the left would have improved.
