    Default Boat-billed Heron II.

Here is another image of the Boat Billed Heron. I added more contrast on this one.

The white background just doesn't work for me. Also, it seem to be lacking some detail. Large crop? I do like the pose and eye contact. The perch works nicely too.

This guy certainly gets his name honestly! I've never seen one of these before.

Sharpness and eye contact look good, the high key works, too. I might increase saturation a bit.

The high key really shows this species off. I found them difficult to capture out in the open on my recent trip to Costa Rica. Fine capture and composition. thanks for sharing.

Lorant, Nice composition, it seems a bit tight(personal preference) but I love the high key look to the BG and the pose and sharp details are great.:) I can't wait to get a chance to photograph one of these.

Interesting looking bill, and I like the pose. High key works well here.

I love the bird and the high key look. It needs a bit more room in front and a bit less on the right. Do you know the iris color???

I agree with your cropping advice. Here is the eye for you without flash screenshot from RAW:
