This was taken this past week at ding Darling. It was early morning and the Yellow-crowned night heron was walking along the edges of the mangrove. I would have chosen different settings but this was a definite grab image.

That's a cool reflection Judy and I really like the mangroves in the BG. I might evict the tiny bit of orange from the water that is in it's mouth area. Beautiful sharp eye in both!:)

Love that mirror water -- very nice reflection. To my eyes the green leaves on the top left distracts me just a bit. Might try to cop just below the leaves

    Stunning image, Judy.

I agree with the suggestion to crop just below the green leaves. They do tend to pull my eye, at least, from the bird and its reflection.

WOW, this is beautiful. Great catch, looks like he/she is starring into a mirror.

Hi Judy, love the reflection and the tip of the bill touching the water, agree with the others on cropping out the green leaves

Judy I love the composition with the mirrored reflection. The open bill is a bonus on this yellow-crowned NH.

I might try and remove the OOF branch that intersects the bird's body.

Judy, are you sure this is the correct way up ;) Excellent reflection, and the heron stands out well against the darker BG.

Magic capture, Judy!! Would leave as is but I agree with Denise on the removal of bright BG object in bird's gape. Mangrove leaves do not faze me. Very pleasant image.
