    Really tough contrast to deal with here Troy but I think you have pulled it off. Great stop-action pose. Can't tell if the bird is landing or taking off. If the former the room you have given the bird below is IMO adequate. If it were taking off I'd give a bit more room above.

    exposure is perfect with both rich blacks and whites, sharp, eye contact on top of that. What hurts this image IMHO is the near wing position which is completely flat. If you had a frame before or after would have been a killer shot.

    Thank you all for the comments. He was just dancing like Fabs said, they do that a lot, jumped and flapped the wings.
