    Default Kentish plovers

    Nikon D40 with Sigma 170-500mm DG manual focus at 500mm,
    ISO 400, EV -1, 1/80sec at f8.
    handheld while panning,
    a distracting bird that was half in the frame was removed
    in Photoshop CS3 by cloning and spot healing.

    Welcome both of you to OOTB. Nice first post. I like the lighting and the golden copper colors. These are very difficult little birds to capture and you did well. The ribbon of green at the bottom is a nice touch. I might run some NR on the BG if it were mine. Nicely presented.:)

    Welcome to OOTB and excellent image! :) The lighting and colors really make this special. I like the variety of poses of the birds. Agree with Denise that the BG could use some NR, I would also add a bit to the right to give the birds more room to fly into.

    Even though none of the birds is particularly sharp, I think this is a super image. Wonderful sense of motion and incredible color. I love the two horizontal lines running through the image.
