As the weather was overcast at Easter on my trip with Tony to the Pilanesberg Nature reserve, I decided to try a high key effect with this Giant Kingfisher dive.

Nice high key look and I like the diving pose. Very interesting comp. w/ the branch on the left side.

Awesome work as also Stuart. Really like the diving pose and the high key adds another dimension to this lovely image. At first I thought I would like more canvas on top but the more I looked at it the more your crop emphasizes the diving action. Love it as presented.

I like the high-key approach, pose and eye contact and only wish there were more separation between bill and far wing.

Not watching the world cup, Stu? or more like watching with laptop on lap :) ?

Loved the comp and high-key treatment. Superb action shot. Perch adds a lot here IMO.

High key neg space works very well, and the branch balances the comp with the diving bird. Well done, Stuart!

I recognize this, Stu! I have one a fraction of a second earlier :) Good job on the +EC and I like the curve of the near wing.
