I realize the bird is close to the middle or on the way out of the picture but feel I can't give up the water trail.
All criticisms, comments and suggestions will be most appreciated.

    Hi Muriel!

Actually a nice image.I like the reflection and the wake looks good as well. The major problem I feel is in the angle being a bit steep. Of course if you correct that you loose the reflection so you take your choice. You could crop a little off the right to get the bird back a little more. Some selective sharpening may help also but notice you are getting a little halo on the beak so you need to do selective sharpening not all over.

You did make a nice image here Muriel!!

    Hi Muriel

If you are going to go for the reflection do have enough room Would have given some extra room at bottom Also some moving the bird back in the frame with more room up front wold have been great

Overall a very pleasant image, good exposure, sharp and picked a beautiful l setting to the bird !QQQQ

Thanks to tor both helpful comments. Am doing some research on where the "virtual" tail ends for purpose of cutting on the right. Beginning to see an advantage to taking multiple shots when birds swimming as well as flying.
