    Default Moray eel

    From the diving days been looking at some of the images and trying to rescue a few, this will be an ongoing project to clean up some of the backscatter and reflections, the image was cropped to vertical from the sides but nothing from top or bottom. Difficult shooting vertical with a housing and the eel popping up to check you out.

    Equipment was primitive by todays standards, manual focus F3, 55mm macro, Aquatica Housing and twin SR-2000 strobes.... btw the distance to subject was sort of close :)

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

    The word 'Agast' comes to mind with that expression Al.

    In those days Al there was no computers or PS to rework, retouch or enhance. What you got was it, unless you paid a retoucher to do the work on a 10 x 8 or 12 x 16 transparency.

    The cost!!!:eek::eek::eek:

    nice image. Some more space at the top would have been good. I have never been underwater. May be sometime..

    That's cool and scary at the same time. I like the purple rocks on either side of the jaw.

    Hi Al, I like the tight presentation as I think it really displays he eel well. Great detail!. The splash of purple and the bit of red at the top add to the image. Thanks for sharing.

    The image is is worth cleaning up. I love it! Brings back a flood of memmories. Looks like Natasha on paso el cedral reef in cozumel from the 80's. She liked to be petted. Felt like a silk purse. She did not like a gloved hand. cozumel eel ?
