    Default Turkey ... a proud bird !!

    This turkey has fallen on rough times but still is one proud bird :) Not sure how she got this way?

    We do know she went into the underbrush and built a nest then lost track of her, a few weeks later she came running out like this .... no clue but still think is a beautiful specimen :D:)

    This molting thing doesn't look like fun. :) Cool pose, though.

    I guess that is a question for John Chardine, I'm not sure when turkeys usually molt.

    she does look proud!! she is young, though. the beard is very short. even the turkey hunters would pass her up!!

    Hi Al, well handled and agree with positive comments above. The small group of feathers sticking out adds interest to the image...
