    Default Black-necked Stilt

There are quite a few Stilts at Green Cay and it was a relatively calm day with high clouds.

    Axel,

Great pink legs and nice reflection. I like the high key BG on this and its transition from higher contrast to softer contrast top to bottom. May I suggest selecting the eye and lightening it so it is more prominent.

Hi Axel - love it - these guys do make such great subjects. BG colours and composition just work together beautifully.
Have a stilt for my next one :) Although probably a little more creative (Read - not as perfect) as yours!!

Thanks, Robert! I already lightened the eye quite a bit but I agree that it does not really show in this small version.

Axel, nice picture again. I like the mirror off this small nice red/pink feeted bird. We don't them here very often so I look and enjoy this one.

I know what you mean Axel. I have this problem a lot too with the small JPGs.

Well, I dont think you could have asked for calmer water. Super angled pose, nice and sharp, and of course the reflection adds.

Axel, loved the comp and the high key treatment a lot. If this is close to full frame with more room for cropping, then I think a crop that includes reflections only of the legs will also work.

Very nice reflection and composition. EYe looks good to me, considering the existing light.

I like the high key and perfect reflection. I would prefer a more "kinetic" pose though (like a previous one you posted) with more leg angle.
