The egyptian goose is one of the most common, noisiest and most aggressive birds that is found in and around the many ponds and lakes in Johannesburg. Getting these guys in a pond is a sure fire way of getting some action, as they chase and scare other geese and any other bird that is on the water ... second only to the coot !!

Superb light Vic, and like the angle of flight. Very well captured.

We are familiar with the species here, since there are quite a few around and yes, they are extremely aggressive and they bully everyone around :)

Great pose except for the left wing, wish it was more extended.

My first thought is great light on the goose, but then I notice the purple water.
I took out the color cast completely here, but if it were my image, I'd probably take the time to mask the goose from the process and treat it seperately.

Agree with previous Do like Jim's repost a lot Did not see the compensation but seems it could have been a little over? Would like to see more density in the chest area !!! Love those guys they always put on a show !!!!!

Thanks for the comments guys !! Agree with Jim on the water ... tried some selective color compensation on the blues as the seemed a little grey, but will attempt to mask and bring out a little more detail on the bird. Thanks again. Vic
