This conversion is absolutely awful, the orig is sharp and does not have a cast, any ideas?

Please ignore I have changed the original posting

Hi Ken this is a nice shot. It is always difficult to get a catchlight and colour in a cheetahs eyes, they have this really deep ridge above them, so well done there. Maybe a little less space above the cheetah, and cropping a little from the right side to lose those leaves would strengthen this portrait for me.

    Hi Ken

Looks good to me Ken, I guess this was taken at the same time as one posted a few weeks ago? For me it's one of your best images to date, and I really mean that, no jokes please Ken. Also looks like the conversion to web is working better too. :)

The only thing I would wish for was that the Cheetah looking into camera and fraction of gardening on the rhs.

Nice one Kenneth, BTW Helena didn't take this one? :D :D:D:D

    Thanks for the kind comments.

    Steve,

I actually liked the slight lookaway, if you want one staring into the camera, I am sure I can find one for you:D.

Yes the first image was in all honesty rubbish, I do not know what I did but at least I seem to have solved the problem, trouble is I did it in my trial version of CS5, I will try the next one in CS4.

Helena actually took some video of this you can find it in the usual Youtube quality at

Like the video Ken, lucky to see the group of Cheetahs and they look in good condition to, did you stay with them?

Would stick with CS4 as it is more stable, CS5 is too early for me and there are still some bugs I fear that need patches. Would give it 12 months before thinking of using it.

Ken, nice shot of the cheetah. My recommendation / desire would be for a slightly less saturated background, and maybe a small amount of darkening of the foreground and background to help make the cheetah pop a little more. Very cool photo, and just a tad bit more (but not much!) to make it even better.

    Hi Ken

I like this just as it is...Nice background and the foreground garden does not bother me. I especially like the mouth open and the green leaves on the edge of the upper RHS... give depth. If I had to give you a nit to pick then there is a black dot I would remove about level with the ear on the RHS next to the green leaf...(maybe it is a actual nit...) It seems to stand out a bit..
