Nice bird, perch, HA, & BG. Good exposure. I see what you mean about a dull day. It leaves the bird lacking something. Not sure if you can do anything about it in PS though.

Brings back memories of my visit to Botswana last year.

I like the composition with the mounded rock and green, soft BG - accentuates the bird nicely.

I like the composition, setting, BG and head angle. The light might be soft but I would take that any day over harsh shadows.
