    Shot from the kayak. Canon 40D, Bigma @ 500mm, iso 400, f/9.0, 1/250 (I know, I know... a bit slow).

Hey Bob, 1/250 may be the culprit why the image is not as sharp as it should. Especially from a moving kayak.
I like you recomposition with more space in front than back and would darken the whole image. TFS.

Hi Bob, Good detail, pose and soft lighting.Agree the bird is a bit soft and I find the blurred posts or signs distracting...

Bob, a really nice pose here!
Your slow shutter speed and kayak movement produced a fairly soft image, but I like the DOF and soft BG grass. The BG OOF posts, especially the left one, detract a bit, imo.

Hi Bob - agree with the comments above - would have shot this wide open - would have given you more SS and added more blur to the BG.
Keep em coming and dont forget to comment on others.

Hi Bog From the boat do try raising your ISO for a higher shutter speed ! Don't worry about noise since it can be dealt with but not a shaky image !! Would also go wide open... will blur the bg even more and help with the speed

Remember when positing to leave a three of four comments for others, will actually help yourself and its sure nice to others, thanks.

Good comments above. I like the idea of opening the lens up more for faster ss and less detail in bg.

Very nice shooting angle and exposure.

I might take a bit off the right side and darken image a bit.

Looking forward to more from the kayak.
