Not sure what the skimmers were doing yesterday at Nickerson.....they would occasionally pause during the skim.......almost like they got caught on something! Had a ton of opportunities yesterday morning but it was tough with the waves in the BG.......this just says Nickerson to me.
Canon 1D Mark lll with the Sigma 300-800 @ 800mm at ISO 800 for 1/3200 sec and f7.1 all mounted on older aluminum Manfrotto tripod:D.......with Wimberly head. Slight crop top and right.

Cool capture, I like the pose, splashes and eye contact and would try to get more details in the blacks.

Splash is ultra cool Roman, plus a good wing position to boot. Good going.

Very good one Roman. The splash is just fantastic (too bad that it is not a splash of cold beer :D). Reds in the bill and feet are a nice touch :)

Love the splash, especially coming over the skimmer's head, the action is well captured. I'm not sure what I think about that wave in the bg being there, it does distract a bit. On the other hand, that's nature.

I like the action captured and the water splashing all around it's body. Nicely done.

This is super cool, RK, love the action, great EXP and also important to have the eye show, not always possible with the black face mask. Reds in the bill just right.
