    Default Mirchainee Female | Banfhavgarh

    Dear all

I am back from Bandhavgarh today and as promised to wife this was my last trip this summer. I had blast of time with all tigers and I was blessed to shoot ALL tigers of Tala zone left , right and center ( Though IQ is not great ).

This year I chased cubs and cubs of this Mirchaini female were kind enough. They are bold and beautiful. Those guys who could not photographed tigers in Bandhavgrah this year dont know what they have missed.

This tigress is becoming living legend. Already raised two male cubs and now three cubs litter is growing thick and fast.

Cant wait till Oct 2010 but can post process images. 7D , 300/f4 at f5.6 , 1/2000 HH, 90% of FF ISO 400
All C & C are most welcome and much appreciated
    Harshad

Hi Harshad, nice post. I think the striking contrasts of colour on this tigers face is what makes it strong for me. I also like that you were so close that the whiskers and whisker spots point in towards the mouth. I guess you caught her at the end of a yawn. Well done there...and very sharp too. A straight portrati at this distance would have been nice too. Keep them coming Harshad, you are going to be the reason I make a second visit to India.

Harshad almost forgot, perhaps crop off a fraction on the left to get rid of that dark object midway down on the left margin...

OK Harshad I will base my comments as is.:)

Colour, detail & expression, love it and the processing on the 7D is your best to date IMHO. Personally I would just crop from the rhs tp give the same space L & R from the whiskers and add as much below as possible. The rock in the BG is annoying, however if you moved round you would have lost your shot.

Overall, thumbs up from me. ;)

No worries, but if I had this in my early days that is how it would have been used :D

Slight crop from the left would strengthen the image. The whiskers have come out well.

    Cheers,
