Spent some time watching this Oyster Catcher fly back and forth to the colony after digging up snacks for the chicks. After studying the behavior for a while I was able to capture it the moment it took flight for the trip to the chicks.

One of my favorite birds. Nice top view, food in the beak is awesome.

Excellant flight shot! Background compliments the bird, as well.

Banking pose, eye contact and BG look very good and the morsel adds to it. I might sharpen it a bit more and run NR on the BG.

Very good one Joe. The banking pose and light angle are just fantastic. Very nice Bg. From a compositional point of view, I think that a higher position of the oystercatcher would be better. Very good job on this one :)

Very lovely, Joe, nice BG too. Agree with Juan about the comp and I may add some black to the browns (neutrals) in Selective Color.

Joe, Beautiful banking pose and details. The BG colors really make this stand out. I agree w/ Juan regarding the positioning in the frame. Fantastic!:)

Totally love this, totally jealous of your light and background... so sweet.

After reading the comp. suggestions, I might not move the bird up, but crop some off the top and center it more for this display, and when its on the cover of a magazine, use this comp as you have here ;)
(Cuz, PS, that's where this image belongs, on the cover of a magazine)
