    I made this image about 45-90 minutes after dawn. Yesterday I found 5 magpie fledglings so I went back this AM to get a few images. This is one of them.

    I discovered something I was unaware with my magpie images. Magpie fledglings have pale blue eyes & the adults have coal black eyes. Who knew?

    Mrk3, HH, ISO 400, 100-400@400, +1EV, f/6.3, 1/1000, Aperture Priority, Cropped ~30%

    Very interesting to see a chick and the eye coloration also. Love the detail in the belly and the head angle. Good EXP control and pose.

    Good-looking fledgling, head angle and sharpness look good, I might tone down the highlights a bit.
