    Hi Stephen I like the idea for this image! Would work better without the sticks and having the face straight !! Exposure wise would have to dial in more negative comp since the rim light is a bit overpowering, should end in a silhouette more or less !!! .. was he shaking his head?

    Hi Stephen, I like the rim of light around the dogs edge, and the backlit dust from its shakedown. I agree with Al that perhaps darkening a little may help focus attention on the silhouette. Also, removing the bright pieces of grass that go through the dogs muzzle would help. Did you get any shots before or after this headshake?
    Glad to see that the dogs are hanging in at Umfolozi
