    I took this image of a baby Canada Goose at a nearby pond. I was lucky to have a few minutes on the way to an appointment - they don't stay babies very long!!! He looks like he is learning the "goose step" of the old German army!!

    7D with 100-400 at 400, EV 0, f9, ISO 400, 1/250 sec, hand-held from car. The image represents about 75% of original. I used quick mask to eliminate some bright water in the ULC.

    Nice action captured here, would prefer a little more light and a catchlight in the eye. I might also suggest a different crop to change the birds centered position.

    This is adorable, Gail, placing the gosling in the upper left of the frame may be a better composition.

    Cute pose, the little guy looks very determined. :) I agree on putting the bird further to the left in the frame.
