New iPhone 4g formally Announced

the camera has been upgraded to 5 megapixels with zoom and flash. Better GPS. And HD video and imovie app to edit on the phone.
I love the iPhone for photography and it's handy when you're carrying big glass and want to geotag your locations.
Looks really exciting....
They also put in a little gyroscope. I'm eligible for an upgrade and wondering how much better the new camera is compared with the one in the 3G.

Plus the 2 way camera is great for video chats so you can show your friends like Alfred live avian feet.
The 3g is being discontinued. I do hope the new battery is better. It's supposed to be based on the iPad.
The battery is supposed to last 40% longer than in the 3GS.
I'm curious, too, how good the video quality will be.
Will they stay exclusive to the AT&T network?
Jeff, for now it seems so. No Verizon iphone just yet which sucks
I have the 3G. In another month I will get the new iPhone or the HTC EVO - both impressive phones!
Recently read an article in USA Today which implied that in January 2011 iPhone will be available from Verizon. One can only hope!
I heard those rumors, too. Fortunately, the 3G reception in this area is decent.
