Wow Jim....you keep on surpassing yourself with flying colors. This is one heck of a pose. The wings, the stare, the legs, talons, feather details.....absolute stunner. IOTW candidate( maybe even a slam dunk) IMO :-)
Superlative image.
Killer shot!!! Just beautiful.
Jim:
Superb image, detail, exposure action.
Only thing that could make it better for me would be the target he is aiming for, if you have a clean view of it.
Cheers
Randy
Stunning capture and landing pose.
A bit more space at the bottom is needed IMO but otherwise fantastic.
Outstanding image Jim. Just outstanding.
nice image.
was the bird called in or otherwise baited?
Jim,
wonderful details and unusual posture take this one over the top.
Steve

excellent flight shot Jim, sharp and clean. wonder if it looks better if you include the perch?

So you can see why I made the composition chioces I made for this image, here is the full frame sequence leading up to and including this one:
Notice the change in lighting for the last frame. The light and sky can really change fast on a windy, cloudy day.

I love the image.....but I would never want to be on the receiving end of those talons. Excellent job!
Killer talons and pose. Jim, you missed Dave's question in Pane #8 above.
