Hi Jaime, I really liked the little elevated perch, and your low angle...really makes this shot work for me. Agree with Ken above. Great capture. TFS

Very nice capture, Jaime. The face pulls you right in-cute expression. The BG is not distracting.:)

    Jaimie,

Agree on the comp and cutness factor. Overall the image is a bit dark causing it to look flat. Even the though the lens sharpness is there, the sharping or the image is not enough.

Below I used a curves correction to lighten the image overall and globally sharpened it. Selectively sharpening the subject would be better and not sharpening the BG.

Major cutie-face alert! I would do some selective brightening of the subject, and also some selective sharpening with a
little extra on the eyes. With an image like this, I'm not averse to helping out the eye color a tiny bit. Very nice fuzzy
    feel to this.

What an amazing contrast in approaches to this image.
I have no idea what the colours are like in real life, therefore I find it difficult to decide, certainly they both bring out more detail and have welcome additional sharpness.
I think that I'll sit on the fence and suggest something between the two.:D

David's post is much closer to real life - I really like that he didn't change the backgrond that much and was ablt to lighten the pup. I especially like the eyes in Davids post.

I agree. I did a bad job in my repost.

I am having an issue with downloaded JPG color's skewing when I open them in PS. Trying to get that worked out.

David did a nice job with the rework. Thanks.
