Once upon a time, when I was a child, I had a little plastic camera. This was before I knew about head angles and oil spills. There were just the birds and the joy I felt as I watched them take off and fly as if they didn't have a care in the world.:)

    Thanks for looking.

Cheryl, You should post this in Framing your Images w/ Words. Very nicely done. I think the vignette should be a bit larger? I see a spot by the beak:)

Denise, I saw the spot as I was posting - I thought it might be on my monitor:o Is this better?

Hi Cheryl, Love the pose here! It's so graceful. :) Nice effect. I would just lighten the eye a bit.

    Cheryl,

Very Holga! You got the blur, vignette and funky colors! As mentioned, the pose is so nice and I love your words.

I love the effect. It looks as if you have photographed a carving. I gotta admit though that the head angle bugs me--bad ones always do. I am with Denise on adding canvas all around and increasing the darker areas of the vignetting.

Hi Cheryl, I think you got a handle on the look of the Holga. Agree with comments about the vignette and I might take some off the bottom to square it up a bit. Good work!

I really don't know what a Holga looks like. I love the words you wrote to go with this image, and the processing of the image fits with the words. I do wish the bird were in a more upright position.
