Hi Jeff - love the low shooting angle - might get some comment about the HA - Being slightly away from you. Doesn't bother me - the action makes up for it - ONLY IMHO!!
Might darken the sand and legs a little - looks a tad bright - could just be my screen though!!
    Like it a lot!!

Hi Jeff, good story! Agree on pulling more detail out of the whites and toning down the legs a bit.

Thanks team, I knew the HA was a tad off he would not cooperate with me.

Good comments on whites too - thanks for the valuable input.

Stuart - nice feedback on the sand too.

Love the action and catch. I think the whole thing could be darker judging by the black, white and brown feathers.
Glad you had a nice time :)
Copied the BG layer, used multiply blending mode and reduced opacity to 50%

Hi Jeff, excellent capture and processing work! Fabs' repost puts it over the top. Really like the colors and comp!

Very nice capture, Jeff. Fabs' repost really helps make it pop. Admittedly a perfect HA would have made it even stronger, but they don't always obey. I know these guys have vivid carrot-colored bills, but on my screen it seems a bit of de-saturation of the red might make it more realistic.

    Dave,

Standing in water was interesting at first but after a while it was fun. James knows just where to go and we were just 30-50 feet from a sand-bar full of birds - I had a blast!

Will definitely do this again. If you ever get to Florida, ask James about his boat trips.

Lovely shorebird image! I like the low angle you've used and the composition you've done here. Fabs repost looks great.
