    Hi Jason, Welcome aboard!
Interesting duck whose head looks fairly sharp.
A few points. First the light is pretty harsh and becomes very contrasty Try and shoot early or late so you get warm light.
Second, the light angle looks like it's coming from high above so the head has mottled light and the back has is quite bright. Try and find an even lighting angle.
Third, the duck seems to be centered in the frame. Try and give more room to the front than the back so the subject has a space to go into.
Finally, the duck looks like it needs some clockwise rotation since it seems to be on an angle.
    Look forward to seeing more...

HI Jason - big warm welcome to the BPN Family - there is no better place to improve your Photography Skills - IMHO.
Dont hesitate to jump right in and leave comments on other peoples images - no better or faster way to learn - all we ask is that you say what it is you like or dont like about it. Having no emotional attachment to the image makes it a lot easier to see what needs to be done.

Dave pretty much nailed the critique. Have a look at the educational resources forum - lots of really usefull info in there!
    Looking forward to seeing more.

H Jason Big Warm Welcome !!!

Dave has it covered !! One point I can make if possible can get a lower angle for a dreamy bg, I know its not practical in lots of ponds ! Your histogram is your best friend, have the highlight alert turned on and use to check !! Looking forward to the next one !!
