Hi Ken Love the poses !! Sure wish the animal on the right would have cooperated and had the eye visible, like having mirror poses !!! The MK4 performs well enough I would not hesitate to go to ISO 1600 for more dof.
Noise wise as long as you don't underexpose the image will turn out fine !!! Difficult getting used to these high settings and having good quality !!!
Ken,
Nice pose. I agree that a higher depth of field would have been helped in covering the zebra on the right. I push the Mark IV to ISO 1600 when required. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Sabyasachi
Hi Ken, I think if you went for a portrait crop this would strengthen the whole concept, making into an A frame shape. The detail & clarity in the lh zebra is IMHO is the best to date for you using this camera. Obviously a higher ISO and smaller f would have given a better image, but I am sure there will be a next time.

Graphically powerful but like Alfred I am wishing for the missing eye....

Great color and I like the symmetry. Do wish the zebra on the right was on the same plane as the other zebra.
Thanks for the comments, I have checked to see if I had any others with better positioning, and inexplicably I have only two frames:confused:
Zebras rather than a Zebra, are notorious for not being cooperative in posing:D
I am intrigued by the DOF comments do you think a higher F stop would have given me that much more sharpness?
I am OK with the d-o-f as is but would admit that a bit of selective sharpening of the back animal would likely be an improvement :) (How's that for straddling the fence?)

Artie,
You should have been a diplomat:D
I tried selective sharpening but it brings up the noise too much, or at least it does the way I do it.
Love the pose. A bit more eye of the zebra on the right would be nice and a bit more DOF would also be nice. I agree, I push my MK4 to ISO 3200 a lot.
love the pose and agreed with Alfred
