    Default Puffin

A puffin, a popular bird, not so popular with the sand eels I guess.

    Tim:

This one is fun, a bit different angle than the usual Puffin pose. Nice eye contact with the sand eels. The profile really shows the birds plump build.
Generally I prefer either full up/full down wing positions, because it better displays wing details, but this one works OK for me. Love the feet tucked in so tightly with the tiny talons pointing up.

I might be tempted to try just a bit of lightening on the face and underside. Looks like the light was very soft, which helped here.

I would also consider adding a sliver more canvas to the left. The pano crop works well with this shot.

    Cheers

    Hi Tim

Fully agree with Randy, birds form the don't look their best !! You did make one sharp image and having the sand eels makes it so much better !! Like the overall detail particularly in the shadows !!!

One of my favorite birds that I probably will never be fortunate enough to photograph. I'd be beside myself with a photo like this, nice job.
