    I'm usually not a big head shot guy, but since this is Artie's site I was inspired to post one. This image was made last spring on a lek in eastern New Mexico with a Canon 1D IIn, 600 IS and early a.m. light.

    I love the clean background. I would have loved some more depth of field and more sharpness in the breast feathers. Overall a nice image.

    Brian lovely details, exposure and BG. Recognizing that this is likely a full frame shot, I might still like to see a touch more space on the right for the bird to look into.

    I certainly didn't mean to leave out the rest of the talented staff...................it's just that when I think of the master of head shots, I think of Arthur Morris! ;)

    I really like the BG color as it goes well with the plumage colors! Superb!!
