This sulfur- crested cockatoo has frustrated me for a long time. Don't know what he's going to do from minute to minute. never sure how long he will stay in one position and then there's the eye issue. Took his picture anyway the other day. What an exposure nightmare.

Canon 5D Mk 11, Canon EF 500 f/4.0 L, Canon 550 EX flash, Better Beamer and Bogen tripod with Wimberley head. My exposure was 1/125 sec. @ f/11.0 ISO 400.

Well nice to see your still around Charles. Like this image alot. Great job on a tough exposure. I might take a little off the top , but its just a minor point. Don't be a stranger.

    Joe,

Thanks for the kind comments. Should be posting more soon. Also post in the macro forum. Would like to see your florals again. Sure do miss them.

Have been painting my house and numerous other home projects now that my knee is getting better. Still only 60% healed from the surgery.

Took a course last month from Chas at the St Augustine Birding & Fotofest. What a teacher...

Very nice image of a tough bird. Nice detail in feathers as well as eye. BTW, he is most likely a she (brown eye)!
