This Chestnut-sided Warbler was singing its heart out. This is the same one as my previous image. I tried to tone down some of the bright areas in the image. Comments are welcome.

Great singing pose of a lovely little warbler. Looks sharp on my screen. I agree with your comment about the size of the perch on your previous post - it's a bit overwhelming there and here, but not a killer. BG does seem a little distracting, and although you toned it down some, a little more might help. This angle shows his signature chestnut flanks, but also a lot of white breast; were you able to get one turned more to the side to show off some of his other lovely plumage?

    Tom:

Nice singing pose as mentioned. One of the challenges here is the uneven lighting on the bird. If noise doesn't intrude too much, you can even the bird out a bit with some selective curves work. i think as the bird becomes a bit lighter, it will help downplay the background a bit more.

If the image quality will tolerate it, I might consider cropping down from the top about 1/3 of the free space.

    Cheers

Gorgeous bird, Tom. I've never photographed one. I love the chestnut color you have captured.

Nice pose. I like the reddish-brown shoulder patches.
