    Default Black-necked Stilt

This is one from Green Cay, thankfully there were some high clouds.

    Axel:

Elegant pose, esp. the crossed legs and foot.
I think you could have gone a bit more + on the EC to get a bit more detail in the blacks without blowing out the whites.

Reflection adds to the mood, just wish for a few less ripples in the reflection.

    Cheers

Wold have been real artwork if the water had been flat calm..which it rarely is :)

Agree with Randy and I think you could open up those blacks with selective color in CS.

I'd be tempted to drive the water white and make this a high key image.

I like the tip toe posture, and the stilt is nice and sharp. Im glad you included the reflection.

exposure looks good to me, I would prefer a lower angle. there is some noise in the darks.
    Nice reflections TFS

    Arash:

I am guessing that Axel wanted the best reflection he could get. A lower shooting angle would have worsened the reflection, more distortion of it the lower you go. Its always a trade off on that one, but I think he got the angle about right for the best reflection.

    Cheers

    Randy,
I have some BNS shots with lower angle and reflection, maybe it wasn't possible to get lower here or too much ripples?

    Nevertheless a good photo, TFS

    Best

Here is with some chroma noise reduction

Very elegant bird with lovely pose. The crossed legs and raised foot make it worth keeping the reflection, even if not mirror smooth. Exposure looks good on my screen.

Thanks, Arash! I couldn't get any lower since I was on a boardwalk.

Axel, I like the graphic quality, simple clean BG, and the leg reflections. Agree with Jim that it might be interesting to see it in Hi Key.

Beautiful, artistic image of this delicate little bird. I love the forehead on these guys. Very nice, Axel.

Interesting shot. My eye goes directly to the pattern created by the legs. Makes me think of those twisty straws.

Nice bird and difficult to expose. I also find the legs very interesting, and wish for more details on the blacks.
