    Default Stilt chasing Avocet

This is from Friday evening at the Palo Alto Baylands, more windy than usual!!! Stilts ferociously defending their checks! I wish Avocet's left wing was fully stretched but this is what I got

    5D MKII 500/4 + 1.4X TC, f/7.1, 1/2500sec ISO 500. almost FF, cleaned up the horizon a bit.

Hi Arasg, I feel you handled this very well. Good lighting, sharp, detail and muted backround. The wing position on the avocet doesn't bother me but of course would wish for it to be more open. That would only add to an already beautiful image...

.... so hard to track and get tack sharp !!! .... and we are told the Mk2 5D is not a good flight camera since the AF is old, slow and not accurate .. btw that might match well with the 100-400 which is slow to focus and not sharp :D:D:D Fine image !!!
