School's out and I decided to head to Florida rather than Michigan this year. I just wanted to see the beach one more time.....before the oil hit. My goal was to get some chicks this time of year....and I was fortunate to find the Wilson family so cooperative.
Canon 1DMkIV, 500mmL IS, 2X TC, tripod
ISO 400, f/11, ss 1/3200
DPP RAW converter, CS5 for a slight crop all around, USM, slight saturation, etc.
Nicely captured. My first thought was that the image was too bright, but the exposure looks pretty darn good, and I suspect this is an accurate representation. The adult looks sharp enough to me, but the chick could stand a touch more sharpening. I know they are kind of fuzzy and indistinct, but a bit more around the eye would be nice.
