    Default scissor tailed flycatcher

This bird was all over the sky. Hard to get a photo of. It is not perfect but I really like the way it turned out

A beautiful view of the underneath and a nice wing spread. Looks like it might have been a large crop as there seems to be a loss of sharpness and detail. Given I'd love to see a Scissor Tailed Flycatcher I'd happy with it.

    Hi Dan!

Be careful with aperture priority and metering in situations like this. The camera will expose for the bright sky. That said, 1/8000 sec is quite fast and you probably would have been happy with ISO 200 and the resulting shutter speed.

Looks like a heavy crop. The angle is tough as well as the direction of flight- away from you. I do like the wing position and the right eye is visible. Might want to shift the bird to the right in the frame a bit.

You are right . It was a large crop and I used topaz denoise to improve the image.originally it had a blue cast to it and after photoshop auto levels this was the result
Wish I could afford a big lense but I try my best with what I have. This forum has improved my images and I listen to what is said. Thanks!
