    Default Fractaliuscuro

Found this lizard (Western Fence) on a hike last weekend. He happened to be sitting in a pool of sunlight in front of a bunch of shadow... Used Fractalius to give him a different look, almost like a stone or wood carving. :) Added the catchlight in the eye.

Kerry, Now that is creative! Combining the two effects for a great look. Nicely done.

Kerry, what a great image. The fence lizards in Florida are shades of brown. Did fract. change him to irridescent or is that their natural color. I really like the chiaroscuro effect combined with the fractalius.
I might crop a little off the right (up to the edge of the wood, but maybe not - it's great the way it is:))

Cheryl, here is the original with just a crop and darkening of the tree. I did boost saturation a bit, but these are the true colors. :) There is a lot of overlap of the subspecies in California, and it is not uncommon for the Sierra and Coast Range subspecies to have these amazing colors. Finding one in this kind of light was a happy surprise!

I really like this. My only input is that I would like to see a little more of the eye.

    Hey Kerry,
I think the effect is very strong! Since I am late to the party.....did you try bringing up some of the darker areas first (behind legs)?.....I think any more detail and color you could get in the lizard would only strengthen it! Very cool and creative!
