    I intended posting a diving Giant Kingfisher, but since Stuart beat me to it, I've decided to post one going in the opposite direction.;):)

    Image was taken from the Mankwe hide in the Pilanesberg National Park.

    Nice image. The idea of capturing the bird when it's flying up make this different, which I like.
    Sharpnes is spot on, good comp and BG.

    Gerrie, now this is more difficult than a take off shot, so its excellent timing to capture this. I really like the raised wings above the head. Comp works well too.

    Gerrie your images from Mankwe is inspring. I must get myself there:) Why the lowish shutter speed? to counter noise?

    Nope. noise not an issue Chris. Was just caught totally unprepared for her upward take-off. Was waiting for classic take-off, shooting in AV with a ss of 2000.:o
