    I think the perch is too large for such a small bird, but what are you comments otherwise?
    Nikon D200
    Nikon 70-300 4.5-5.6G VR
    1/500 sec at f 6.3 and 300 mm
    ISO 400
    Hand held

    Very nice find, it's been a while that I have seen one. I agree, ideally, the perch would be a bit smaller but it's not too bad. I might crop a bit off the left so that the perch does not end in the corner and would remove the dark patch above the bird's head. Maybe a bit more sharpening?

    Ditto perch & Axel on crop & a bit more sharpening. Like the pose & head tilt.

    Good suggestions given!

    BG is slightly distracting. Maybe toning down the brights in the lower part of the frame would help?
