    Default Another Giant Dive

Seeing that Morkel and Gerrie have posted diving Pied Kingfishers recently, I thought I would post another diving Giant Kingfisher. One can capture so many different wing positions with these take off's, and its great to see these various positions. Taken in the Pilanesberg nature reserve, two weekends ago.

Cool pose and eye contact, I would try to get more details in the underwing of the far wing.

That is a great pose, he looks like a dart. NIce catch light and diagonal formed by the body.

Very nice KF Stu. Whites seem a bit hot but not much. Great diving pose and wings, looks like he/she found the next victim! I would remove the branch since it seems to be more sharp that the bird, on the other hand it tells the story as is the place from where the bird is leaving, mmm...compromise, there's always a compromise...

Well timed capture Stu! Like the pose & angle of flight. Ditto Axel on wing detail.:)

excellent dive pose Stuart, love the wing positions. agree with toning down the white in the under wing area if possible.
