    700mm, f/5.6, 1/200 sec, ISO-1600.

    Very Low light conditions in Kabini. A Jungle in a south India. and still Partly Cloudy after the Previous Night's showers. but the birds looked awesome after a nights rain, and as all the dust had settled.

    Ramesh:

    I love the mirror image curves of the perch and tail. Nicely exposed.
    Wish I could see the tip of the tail, and that the large trunks weren't behind the bird.

    I like the soft light and to see one of these in their habitat. For that reason I don't mind the trees in the BG. Would you have had the time to remove the TC to get the entire bird in the frame?

    no time to remove t.c. axel and Randy the jeep driver stoped a couple of feet too close. just got a few shots and the bird was back on the ground.

    I don't mind the habitat either and also wish for the whole tail. Taking pictures after rain is awesome because everything is so saturated. Great to see them in the wild. TFS.

    Very nice bird! I only wish I could see the whole tail, and find the BG not so distracting. Please keep them coming.
