Image created 2 weeks ago in Plymouth MA just after dawn. This bird was roosting on the bay side as we had a very high incoming tide.

    Nikon D300s, 600VR, TC14EII, ISO 500, f 6.3, 1/500, NearUniWB preset, CW metering, +0.3 EV applied.

Exposure is spot on - not easy to do on these b/w birds.
Excellent shot! Head angle just right - like the crossed legs.

Good-looking plumage and clean setting, I also like the eye contact.

Good HA, and I like the light, exposure, and sharpness. Lovely soft blue in the BG.

Very nicely done. Love this species which I have never seen in its breeding plumage. I would stay with the 3:2 ratio for this one. BG is killer.

BG to die for. nice and creamy. That combined with a super-sharp bird in great plumage equals a winner. Everything spot on here Jim.

This is one of the nicest Black Belly Plover images that I've seen. Fantastic plumage and that blue BG really brings out the colors. Well done.

Very nice image Jim. Head turn, light, placement of the feet, and the subtle hint of waves in the BG makes this top notch.
